The Lamp Inside

We flicker on and off
from inside out
as the very core
and complete essence
of guidance and spirit.

We wait for others

to find the switch

expecting them to

see our truth

and place our worth

like a price tag on an item.
Light attracts all light

like a magnet

waiting to cling onto another.

It is the rhythm of each being

as the soul searches for answers

into the unknown.

Whenever we let go

of all fallacies,

expectations,

anticipations,

and control…

heaviness disappears

and we are left
with the vastness of love.

We become full.
We encase compassion.

We embody grace.
We embrace unconditional love.
We are what lives without ego

as we surrender to ourselves

and…
the light that leads us through life

as Divinity.

(Inspired by Luke 11:33-36)
